We are proud to recognize the Federal Way High School Air Force JROTC, the 52nd Eagle Squadron, for an outstanding accomplishment. 

During their annual Air Force Junior ROTC Unit Assessment, the 52nd Eagle Squadron earned Top Marks, achieving a perfect score of 100 — the highest possible rating of “Exceeds Standards.”

Under the guidance of Major (Ret.) John David Gasa and Chief Master Sergeant (Ret.) Jacob Davidson, cadets demonstrated exceptional leadership, active participation, and dedication to community service. Evaluators were impressed by the strength of the cadet-led program, and the pride students take in representing their school and community.

Congratulations to the 52nd Eagle Squadron on earning Top Marks and continuing a tradition of excellence!

We are proud to recognize our outstanding cheer teams from Decatur High School, Todd Beamer High School, and Federal Way High School for their incredible success at the 3A WIAA State Cheer Championships.

Decatur High School earned 1st place in the Game Day Small category and 2nd place in the Non-Tumbling Small category — an outstanding accomplishment at the state level.

Todd Beamer High School captured 1st place in the Stomp category, and Federal Way High School delivered a strong performance, earning 3rd place in Stomp.

These achievements reflect months of dedication, teamwork, precision, and school pride. Our students represented their schools and our district with excellence.

We are proud to recognize the Todd Beamer High School Girls Flag Football team for an outstanding season and their advancement to the 3A WIAA State Girls Flag Football Championships.

Competing at this level places these students among the top programs in Washington state and is a testament to the hard work of the students and coaching staff throughout the season.

These students represented Todd Beamer High School and Federal Way Public Schools with determination and pride.

We are proud to recognize our FWPS DECA scholars for an outstanding season of competition and achievement.

Students from all four of our comprehensive high schools competed at the DECA Area Conference, placing in the top 10 in their events to advance to the State Career Development Conference.

At the Washington DECA State Career Development Conference, 71 of our students competed among more than 6,000 students statewide, showcasing their skills in business, marketing, finance, hospitality, and entrepreneurship through rigorous, real-world competitive events.

We are thrilled to share that 20 of our students have qualified for the DECA International Career Development Conference this April in Atlanta, Georgia, where they will compete on the global stage.

Their success reflects months of preparation, professionalism, and dedication, along with the strong support of their advisors and families.
