WHO WE ARE
Decatur High School’s mission is to empower respectful, critically thinking scholars to explore their future college and careers in a way that is individualized to their needs and identities. Gator staff provide supportive, loving guidance through a safe, rigorous, diverse, and equitable environment.

Between October 9-27, 2023, students in grades 6, 8, 10, and 12 across Washington state will take the Healthy Youth Survey. Scholars in Federal Way Public Schools will take the survey at their school site.
September 15 marks the start of National Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month, a time our district and schools recognize the contributions, achievements, histories, and celebrate the many diverse cultures of people of Hispanic or Latinx ancestry who come from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
The 2023-24 school year successfully kicked off on Wednesday, August 30, and it was a joy to see scholars pour into our buildings excited for the year ahead. Learn what's happened so far and what some students hope for the year.
